About
My approach to healing
The Way I Work with You

I’ve dedicated my career to understanding human behaviour, emotional resilience, and the complexities of trauma. My work within the NHS on general, specialist mental health and forensic psych units mean I see the raw, unfiltered struggles people face, from anxiety and stress to deep-seated trauma, bereavement, and crisis management. I don’t just work with symptoms; I work with stories, experiences, and the deeper layers.
What sets my practice apart? I believe healing isn’t one-size-fits-all and not a linear process . My approach is integrative and deeply personal, existential, blending evidence-based approaches such as EMDR with more traditional talking therapies focusing on trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, self esteem, eating disorders, abandonment, phobias, OCD, relationships or even limerence. I mostly work within frames of Person Centred, CBT, Gestalt, IFS and spirituality (if that’s what you need), with psychodynamic elements when needed.
Our work can be long term or short, solution focused, depending of what suits you. I draw from structured, goal-oriented techniques that help reframe unhelpful thought patterns, alongside reflective, client-led exploration that allows you to make sense of your experiences at your own pace. Sometimes, it’s about focusing on the present and practical steps forward; other times, it’s about uncovering deeper emotional patterns, understanding how past shape current struggles, and reconnecting with parts of yourself that may have been buried under stress, trauma, or grief.
My degree research into mental health within the police has deepened my understanding of how institutional systems, high-pressure environments, and unspoken cultural norms shape emotional well-being. I challenge outdated perspectives, advocate for mental health awareness in tough spaces, and bring the same passion into my work with clients - ensuring that no struggle is dismissed or minimised.
