Support That Matches the Weight of the Job.

This service offers evidence-based trauma therapy built for the psychological demands of police and frontline work.
Confidential. Compassionate. Real.
Finally, support that understands the weight behind the uniform

This part of MINDEST operates as a Community Interest Company (CIC)
The service is specifically designed to address the trauma experienced by police officers and frontline workers.
Research shows that existing mental health provision for this group is often underfunded, inadequate, and - crucially - not trusted. Many officers report concerns around confidentiality, stigma, and the fear that seeking help may impact their career or how they’re perceived by colleagues.
As part of my degree dissertation I conducted a research focused on mental health within the police. I interviewed officers from across the UK and from a range of departments. What emerged was clear: the support currently available does not meet the depth or complexity of their psychological needs.
This service was developed in direct response to that evidence.
It’s deep, trauma-informed therapy, integrative, tailored to every individual, and grounded in real clinical insight. Sessions are subsidised through CIC funding, making it affordable without compromising on quality.
The pilot has just launched.
To access this service, you must be an active or retired police officer based in the UK. This includes officers from any force or department, regardless of rank or length of service. Whether you're still on the front line or have stepped away from the role, the psychological impact often lingers - and this service recognises that.
Therapy sessions are offered in person at The Devon Clinic in Paignton, Devon, or online via secure video call
Thanks to CIC funding, these sessions are heavily subsidised, meaning you’ll only pay a significantly reduced rate of £20 per session, with no compromise on the quality or depth of care.
All enquiries and sessions are handled in strict confidence. This service operates independently and is not linked to your employer, force, or occupational health provider. Your participation will not be shared or reported. You will be treated with the same privacy and respect as any member of the public accessing therapy.
