2. Therapy Approach


I work integratively – blending various psychological theories and methods including person-centred, CBT, trauma-informed, existential, EMDR, and creative techniques. Therapy is collaborative, tailored to your needs, and grounded in confidentiality, compassion, and evidence-based practice.


3. Session Format & Fees


Sessions last 50 minutes unless agreed otherwise. They can take place in person (preferred) or online.

Session Fees:

Standard Counselling Session: £50

EMDR Session: £70


Fees are reviewed annually. You will be informed in advance of any changes.


4. Payment Terms


Payment is due either in advance via secure online card payment or on the day of your session. For online sessions, a £10 deposit may be required at the time of booking, which will be deducted from your session fee.

If payment is not received, future sessions may be paused until the balance is settled.


5. Cancellations & Missed Sessions


Please give at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.

Less than 24 hours' notice = full session fee due.

No-shows = full fee charged.

Cancellations should be made by email or text.


6. Confidentiality & Its Limits


Everything shared in sessions is confidential, except where I am legally or ethically required to break confidentiality, including:

Risk of serious harm to yourself or others

Safeguarding concerns (especially involving children or vulnerable adults)

Disclosure of a serious crime

Court orders or legal obligations


Where possible, I will discuss this with you first.


7. Record Keeping & GDPR


I keep minimal notes to support your therapeutic process. These are securely stored and only accessible by me. Under GDPR, you have the right to:

Access your records

Request corrections

Ask for your data to be deleted (within legal limits)


I am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).


8. Boundaries & Communication


I do not provide therapy via text, email, or social media.

I will only respond to admin queries (e.g., booking changes) during working hours.

Please don’t use social media to contact me or discuss therapy.


Therapy is a structured space. Support outside of sessions is not available.


9. Crisis Support & Emergencies


This is not an emergency service. If you are in crisis:

Text "SHOUT" to 85258 (free, confidential)

Contact your GP or local mental health crisis team


10. Supervision & Ethical Practice


I attend regular clinical supervision as required by NCPS. This ensures I work ethically and safely. Any case discussion is anonymised. I adhere fully to the NCPS Code of Ethics.


11. Complaints Procedure


If you are unhappy with your therapy, please talk to me directly first. If the issue cannot be resolved, you can contact the NCPS:

12. Ending Therapy


You can end therapy at any time. A closing session is recommended to reflect and safely close the work.

I may also suggest ending or referring you on if I believe your needs fall outside my scope of practice.


13. Agreement & Consent


By booking and attending your counselling sessions, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms of this counselling agreement.


You do not need to sign this document. Please save a copy for your records. If you have any questions, concerns, or disagree with any part of this agreement, please contact me before your first session so we can discuss it.
